Who is Earl6?

The legend of Earl6 began backstage at a music festival.  A lively discussion was in progress amongst a group of band and crew members in the green room.  The subject - bands with numbers in the band name.  Midway through the conversation, a southern drawl attached to a flamboyantly dressed male chimed in from the doorway, "Any of y'all like Earl6?"

 

After exchanging perplexed glances, the discussion participants declared they never heard of Earl6. 

 

It wasn't until later that evening that one of the participants realized the man in the doorway wasn't referencing a band and the legend of Earl6 was born.
